Planned calls for 2025
The following is an overarching plan for Formas’ planned calls for 2025. These calls are either already decided on or are preliminary. During the year, Formas’ scientific council will discuss and decide whether to revise or open the calls that are preliminary.
The following calls are divided by category of initiative: Researcher-initiated research; National research programmes; Other thematic calls; Strategic innovation areas; Impact innovation; and International calls.
The latest research bill has tasked Formas with a number of new assignments. The calls and activities that fall within the scope of these new assignments are still under development.
In 2025, we will also be working to simplify and coordinate a series of smaller calls. This means that our separate initiatives on animals and animal health and in research communication will be included within the framework of our new call on uptake and dissemination of of research results. Formas will continue to fund communication efforts and initiatives related to animals and animal health.
