Science Europe's General Secretary visited Formas

The Swedish research funding system and Science Europe's work ahead, were on the agenda when General Secretary Lidia Borrell-Damián met Formas, Forte and the Swedish Research Council at Formas' office in Stockholm.

Lidia Borrell-Damián has recently met with managers of several of Science Europe's member organizations to discuss the organization's future work. And today it was time for the Swedish perspective.

- I hope to learn more about all three research councils individually but also how they view Science Europe's work from a Swedish perspective. It's going to be extra interesting today as the Director Generals of Formas and the Swedish Research Council, Ingrid Petersson and Sven Stafström, both are on the governing board of Science Europe, says Lidia Borrell-Damián.

Science Europe acts as a forum where member organizations come together and collaborate to shape future research in Europe.

- It's been very fun and rewarding to have Lidia here today. Science Europe is an important organization for bringing together the members on important issues. And also to advance the organization's interests in the EU, not least now with the ongoing discussions about the new framework program, Horizon Europe, says Formas Director General Ingrid Petersson.
