Turning research into practice – methods and tools

WHAT CAN YOU APPLY FOR?

Development of methods and tools which can contribute research results to be transformed into practice. The results of the funded projects should be useful for different sorts of actors, such as municipalities, national agencies, companies or NGO's as well as other researchers.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Research institutions, local authorities and other public authorities are eligible to apply for funding.   

HOW MUCH CAN YOU APPLY FOR?

You can apply for maximum 2 million SEK in total for maximum two years. You can apply for maximum 1 million SEK per year and minimum 500 000 SEK.

Formas announced a call for the development of methods and tools which can contribute research results to be transformed into practice and have a societal impact for sustainable spatial planning. It was possible to apply for projects up to two years for a maximum of SEK 2 million. In total Formas funded SEK 31 million for 2019-2020.

Decision

A webinar about the call with an FAQ (in Swedish) was arranged on February 14 at 10:30 CET.

The project should build upon results from an ongoing or previously ended research project. These does not have to been financed by Formas. The project should also use existing knowledge and theory about the implementation of research into practice. Formas welcome projects that can be related to the areas prioritized in the research agenda for sustainable spatial planning:
