Transnational call within Southeast Asia – Europe Joint Funding Scheme for Research and Innovation

The call for proposals in the Southeast Asia – Europe Joint Funding Scheme for Research and Innovation is now open. The call addresses the overarching topics Bioeconomy and Infectious diseases. Within this call Formas will support research projects that deals with Bioeconomy. Deadline for submission is 18 September 2018, 12.00 CET.

Formas is participating in the Joint Funding Scheme (JFS) between Europe and members of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Countries participating in the joint call are from Europe: Bulgaria, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and Turkey. Countries participating from South-East Asia are: Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Thailand. The aim of the call is to facilitate and strengthen collaboration between researchers in Europe and South-East Asia. Participating consortia must have a minimum of three partners, representing both regions (i.e. either two different Southeast Asian partners and one European partner, or two different European partners and one Southeast Asian partner). Funding will be provided for the duration of a maximum of three years (36 months). Formas will fund Swedish partners up to a total of 12 million SEK, max 3 million SEK per project.
