Urgent grants for the protection of data or research material
Sometimes situations arise where research data is at risk of being lost if it is not collected quickly. If such an event occurs, Formas’ Scientific Council may decide to open our call for applications for urgent grants for the protection of data or research material.
What are the requirements for receiving an urgent grant?
You can apply for an urgent grant to finance an urgent need to ensure that certain research data or research material is made available for the future. The urgent need must be based on a phenomenon or situation that has arisen suddenly or could not have been foreseen and will not be repeated.
What kind of data can this apply to?
Funding may be granted for, for example, measurement data or the collection of samples or other research material, such as interviews or participant observations.
When can you apply?
You can apply for an urgent grant once the Formas Research Council has decided to open the call. The call will then be listed as open under our calls.
