Action – a call for communication and impact

In Formas’ call Action! From research to impact, you can apply for funding to utilise research-based knowledge, innovations, and solutions. The aim is for research to be put to good use and to have an impact on society.

This call is a development of Formas' work on the impact of research. The call combines Formas' communication call and Research-Driven Solutions for a Sustainable Society.

What types of projects can be applied for?

Formas funds many different projects within this call. What the projects have in common is that researchers, implementers, and stakeholderswork together to design and carry out activities that take research into new areas of application, working methods, products, services, networks, or processes.

The projects must be based on concrete needs, practical experience, and research of high scientific quality. They must contribute to the objectives of one or more of Formas’ national research programs or to objectives aimed at developing and improving animal welfare and animal protection. The projects must meet the needs of a designated target group.

Who can apply for funding?

The projects must include at least one researcher and at least one project partner from another sector. This can be a company, municipality, region, civil society organization, or other organisation. At least one participating researcher must have a doctoral degree. The project team must also include expertise and experience in the utilisation activity that the project will carry out.
