Action – a call for communication and impact

In Formas’ recurrent call Action! From research to impact, you can apply for funding to utilise research-based knowledge, innovations, and solutions. The aim is for research to be put to good use and to have an impact on society.

What types of projects can you apply for?

In this call, we are funding projects in which researchers, practitioners and stakeholders jointly design and carry out activities that help to translate research results into new areas of application, working methods, products, services, networks or processes.

The projects must be based on concrete needs within a clearly defined target group and draw on practical experience as well as research of high scientific quality within Formas’ areas of responsibility: environment, agricultural sciences, or spatial planning.

Who can apply for funding?

The projects must include at least one researcher and at least one project partner from another sector. This can be a company, municipality, region, civil society organisation, or other organisation. At least one participating researcher from the research institution must have a doctoral degree. The project team must also include expertise and experience in the utilisation activity that the project will carry out.
