Yes, that is fine, but please note that the total amount of salary received for an individual researcher, doctoral student or other staff member may not exceed 100 per cent of a full-time position. This means that additional funds for salaries cannot be granted to researchers, doctoral students or other staff already receiving grants with full salary funding.

We see three possible scenarios for this:

  • For projects that have published the requested information, it is sufficient to briefly summarize and also upload the publication(s).
  • For projects that have not yet published the requested information, they should specifically note that the information shared in the report has not yet been published. In this case, the report will remain in Formas' system.
  • For projects that do not plan to separately publish the requested information, a complete report that is possible to distribute should be uploaded to Prisma.

Funds from Formas is transferred to the administrating organization. The administrating organization can in turn transfer funds to participating researchers and other project participants in accordance with the project budget and the administrating organisation’s guidelines.

This call does not apply state aid rules, and thus organizations engaged in economic activity cannot apply for funding from Formas in this call. They have the opportunity to participate in-kind or with other funding. They can also be hired as consultants through procurement. In this case, procurement should be carried out in accordance with the administrating organisation's guidelines and applicable legislation. The consultant's contribution must be justified and constitute a limited, well-defined and delimited part of the project's implementation.
