WHAT CAN YOU APPLY FOR?

To act as host for a visiting researcher from the USA. The proposed researcher shall be employed, living and conducting research in USA, and be at a career age beyond postdoc level or corresponding.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The applicant for the grant shall be a Swedish HEI or other Swedish public agency that is approved as an administrating organisation by the Swedish Research Council.

HOW MUCH CAN YOU APPLY FOR?

For visits lasting 6 months maximum 1 000 000 SEK and project-related costs of maximum 100 000 SEK. For visits lasting 7 to 24 months maximum 2 000 000 SEK per year, and project-related costs of maximum 200 000 SEK per year.

The Swedish Research Council, Swedish Energy Agency and Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development (Formas) are launching a call for a visiting researcher grant within the areas of climate and environment. The call offers the possibility for a Swedish university, research institute or college to employ a visiting researcher from USA. The aim of the call is to strengthen Swedish research within the areas by collaboration with successful American researchers, but also to contribute to international climate and environment research.

The call will open 3 April, and close 15 May.

This is the first of two planned calls, where the second call will open 2020 with funding for 2021-2022.
