The strategic innovation programme Smart Built Environment announces a call for projects that focus on incentives, business models and risks in the digitalization of the built environment sector.

Examples which funding can be sought for include: studies that look at all or parts of value chains, analyse the needs for structural change, synthesize change processes in other industries to inform the planning and building sector, or develop results from ongoing or finished projects in Smart Built Environment or other R&D programmes.

Who can apply: The open call is aimed at consortiums that include companies, the public sector, universities, colleges or research institutes. At least two partners shall be involved in the applicatoin. At least one of the participating partners shall be from the business sector or the public sector.

Co-funding of at least 50% of the projects total costs is required. Companies and other organisations which have business operations that receive funding from Formas are subject to rules regarding state aid External link..

How much can you apply for: SEK 250,000–1,5 million.
Project's total budget: SEK 500,000–3 million.
Project's length: 6–18 months.
Formas total budget in this call: Approximately SEK 8 million.
